SHAMANICÂ HEALING
SHAMANIC HEALING
Shamanic Work
Shamans work in voluntary altered conscious states to travel to the realms of the invisible worlds. Shamanism is a relationship-based practice of making changes in invisible realms to impact healing, of individuals or communities, in the realm of ordinary reality. Shamans use their spirit relationships to create changes that will manifest in the physical world. The word ‘shaman’ comes from the Siberian Tungus tribe. It means ‘spiritual healer’ or ‘one who sees in the dark.’ Some shamans use plants or herbs with healing properties, such as sage or eucalyptus leaves or sacred plant medicines such as psychedelic mushrooms, wachuma, ayahuasca, peyote cactus, bufo, and even kambo.
American psychologist and consciousness pioneer, Stanley Krippner, refers to shamans as "community-assigned magico-religious professionals who deliberately alter their consciousness to obtain information from the 'spirit world.' They use this knowledge and power to help and to heal members of their community, as well as the community as a whole." Krippner describes shamans to be perform similar tasks as physicians, diagnosticians, psychotherapists, religious functionaries, magicians, performing artists, and storytellers all put together.
Shamanic healing is not magic. Instead, it is a powerful, transformative modality that helps us shed emotional traumas, blockages, burdens, old beliefs, and barriers that keep us from being the best versions of ourselves. During shamanic journeys we call ourselves home through soul retrievals. It is in integrating parts of oursevles that we have dissociated from due to trauma or potentially past life karma or generaltional fractures. As a licensed therapist Nina is able to incorporate multiple skills to help you integrate into a whole being.
What To Expect During a Session
During a shamanic session we work on opening, clearing, and re-inhabiting your physical and energetic bodies. You will be guided through powerful experiences to connect you more deeply with yourself and healing while I work energetically. We might do soul retrieval, past life work, inner child work, integrating the masculine and feminine, activating energetic upgrades, connect with your higher self/guides, release energy and trauma from the body, increase your perception, intuition and higher awareness, expansion of consciousness, and cultivating gentle ease in your life.
We may use shamanic tools during your session such as drums, rattles, tuning forks, plant medicine, herbs, chanting, music, meditations, and body work to assist.
My focus is to empower you toward being self-sustaining and help you find tools that you can utilize for yourself in the future. I am simply here to walk beside you on the path of healing and expansion.
You can expect to find your authentic power and voice. You will reconnect with your intrinsic magic, deeply feel your primal self, and hear the call of your soul. You will be seen, understood, and completely held through this process.
What To Expect After a Session
In the days, weeks, and months following your session, you want to take note on how you feel. You will be releasing toxins that have been stored in your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Keep in mind any discomfort will pass, and new, vibrant, life energy will take its place. Nina will reach out to you following your session to check in and see if there are things you need to integrate. These are very intense sessions with transformational results. These sessions are not always one and done. It is suggested to do a minimum of 6 sessions to achieve full integration. Trauma release sessions must have a minimum of 3 sessions.
